Ranked is the part of PUBG Mobile where most players misunderstand the scoring, then blame teammates for a rating they lost themselves. This is how it actually works.
The tiers
| Tier | What it means |
|---|---|
| Bronze → Silver | Placement and learning. Rating moves quickly in both directions. |
| Gold → Platinum | Mechanics matter here; most players plateau around high Platinum. |
| Diamond → Crown | Placement starts to dominate kills. Discipline beats aggression. |
| Ace | Requires consistent top-ten finishes across many matches. |
| Ace Master | Rating above the Ace threshold, tracked on a regional leaderboard. |
| Conqueror | Top of the regional ladder. A time commitment as much as a skill tier. |
What earns rating
- Placement. Consistently the largest single factor above Diamond.
- Kills. Valuable, but only when combined with surviving long enough to place.
- Survival time. Contributes quietly; it is why patient rotations pay off.
The practical consequence: an early-game fight you win pays less than a top-five finish you did nothing to earn. Players who understand that reach Conqueror with average aim. Read the Conqueror plan.
What loses rating
- Dying before the top 50 — the cost is disproportionate to the kills you picked up.
- Hot-dropping to “recover” after a loss. Tilt is the single biggest cause of rating collapse.
- Playing with uncommunicative random squads.
- Playing while tired; losses cluster in the last hour of a session.
Choose the right mode
Squad Classic is the most forgiving ladder because one mistake costs a teammate rather than the match. Solo Classic is the hardest and the most accurate reflection of pure mechanics. Duo sits in between. Pick one and stay with it — switching splits your practice.
Seasonal resets
Each season ends with a soft reset: your rating drops back several tiers depending on where you finished, and reward tiers are paid out based on your peak. This is why late-season pushes are worth doing even if you cannot hold the rank — rewards are calculated on where you got to.
Before you queue
- Settings dialled in — sensitivity and frame rate.
- Codes redeemed so you are not distracted mid-session.
- A clear plan for the first three minutes of the match.
