You copied the code exactly, you are on the official page, and it still says invalid. Before you give up on the code, work through these nine causes in order — they account for effectively every failed redemption we see.
1. The code has expired
PUBG Mobile codes are not permanent. Event and stream codes often survive less than 24 hours, and even version-launch codes rarely last more than three weeks. If a code was published more than a week ago and it is not on a current list, assume it is dead.
2. Region lock
This is the biggest hidden cause. Many codes are issued only for a specific region, and the redeem centre rejects them elsewhere without explaining why. A global code will not work on BGMI, VNG, KR/JP or Taiwan accounts. Compare the code against the correct pool: global, India, Vietnam, Korea/Japan.
3. The code was already used
Every code is single-use per account. If you redeemed it on your phone and then tried again on a tablet with the same account, the second attempt will fail. Codes cannot be transferred to a second account either.
4. Your mailbox is full
This one is cruel: the redemption succeeds, the reward is issued, and it never appears because your mailbox has no free slot. Open the in-game Mailbox, delete old messages, then log out and back in. Rewards usually arrive within a minute of clearing space.
5. The Character ID is wrong
After you enter your Character ID, the redeem page should display your in-game nickname. If it does not, stop — the reward will be sent to a nonexistent player. Copy the ID directly from the profile screen instead of typing it.
6. You signed in with the wrong account
Players who link several logins (Google for daily play, Facebook for a tournament) frequently redeem on the wrong one. Confirm your nickname on the redeem page matches the account you actually play on.
7. The captcha is silently failing
Ad blockers, privacy extensions and aggressive VPNs break the captcha without an obvious error. Disable extensions on the redeem page and retry. If you use a VPN, switch it off — many redeem centres block datacentre IP ranges.
8. Maintenance window
Redeem centres go offline during version updates and shortly after. You will usually see a generic error or a blank page. Wait two to three hours and try the same code again; it has not been consumed.
9. The code was never real
Plenty of circulating codes are invented for engagement. If a code appears only in comment sections and on no official channel, it is almost certainly fake. Every code on our pages is checked on each automated run and moved to the expired table the moment it stops working.
The 30-second checklist
- Is the code on a current list from this week?
- Is it for my region and client?
- Have I already redeemed it on this account?
- Is my mailbox empty enough to receive it?
- Did the page show my nickname after I entered the Character ID?
- Have I tried again without extensions and without a VPN?
If all six are yes and the code still fails, the code is dead. Move on to the next one — and check how to redeem PUBG Mobile codes to make sure your overall flow is right.
