How to Protect Your PUBG Mobile Account (and Spot UC Scams)

The most common way players lose an account is not a hack — it is a login form on a website that promised free UC. Here is how to lock your account down and recognise the scams.

How to Protect Your PUBG Mobile Account (and Spot UC Scams)

Account theft in PUBG Mobile almost never involves breaking encryption. It involves a login form on a third-party site, a “UC generator” that asks for your Google password, or a Discord trade that ends in a MID transfer. All three are avoidable in about ten minutes of setup.

Lock the account down

  1. Link more than one login. Add a secondary method so you can recover the account if one provider is compromised. Do it from inside the game, not from a website.
  2. Enable two-step verification on the provider. If you play with Google, turn on 2-Step Verification there. It is the single highest-value action available to you.
  3. Use a unique password. If your game-provider password is reused anywhere else, it is already in a breach list.
  4. Review connected devices. Check your provider’s device list monthly and sign out anything you do not recognise.
  5. Never share your Character ID alongside account details. The Character ID alone is harmless, but combined with an email address it helps an attacker target a password reset.

The scam patterns, ranked by how often they work

  • “Free UC generator.” Asks you to log in with your Google or Facebook account. That is the whole scam — you have just handed over the account. No generator has ever existed, because currency cannot be created client-side.
  • Fake redeem pages. Lookalike copies of the official redeem centre designed to capture your login. Check the domain character by character; the real centre is on the official game domain only.
  • Offer walls. Complete surveys for UC. You get nothing, and the site monetises your data.
  • Cheap UC resellers. The UC usually comes from a stolen card. When the chargeback lands, your account is the one that gets banned.
  • “Account boosting” services. You hand over the login and lose the account, the inventory, or both.
  • Third-party clients and mods. Instant permanent ban, even if they work.

If your account is already stolen

  1. Change the password on the linked provider immediately — that is where control actually lives.
  2. Sign out all devices from the provider’s security settings.
  3. Contact KRAFTON support through the official in-game or website channel with your Character ID and purchase receipts.
  4. Warn your squad so the attacker cannot use your identity to scam them next.

Squad hygiene

Half of all reported thefts start inside a squad. Never lend an account, never accept a “test trade” outside the official system, and never click a link a squadmate forwards without checking the domain. If a friend suddenly offers cheap UC, the account has probably already been taken over.

A one-minute monthly check

  • Provider two-step verification still on.
  • No unrecognised devices in the list.
  • Purchase receipts match what you actually bought.
  • No new linked logins you did not add.

Codes are only worth chasing if the account is worth stealing. Read legitimate free UC methods instead of anything that asks for a password.
