15 PUBG Mobile Tips Every New Player Should Know

Most of what separates a comfortable PUBG Mobile session from a frustrating one is setup, not skill. Here are fifteen habits worth adopting in your first week.

Settings and controls

  1. Turn gyroscope on early. Learning it at level 10 is far easier than relearning your aim at level 50. Start with Scope On — see the gyro guide.
  2. Build your own sensitivity. Copied values are tuned for someone else’s screen. Three drills fix it: sensitivity guide.
  3. Set graphics to Smooth and frame rate to High. A smooth picture beats a pretty one every time — FPS guide.
  4. Move your fire button to where your thumb already rests. Layout matters more than most players believe.
  5. Enable peeking. Shooting from cover without exposing your whole body is the cheapest advantage in the game.

Loot and inventory

  1. Two first-aid kits beat six. Empty inventory beats a full one you cannot move with.
  2. Carry more smokes than you think. Smoke wins rotations; grenades win fights you should not have taken.
  3. Prioritise a level 2 helmet over a level 3 vest. Headshots end fights instantly.
  4. Learn three weapons properly instead of picking up whatever is nearby. Consistency beats variety.

Movement and survival

  1. Play the rim of the blue zone. Early rotations through open ground get you shot; late rotations through the zone kill you.
  2. Hold buildings, not fields. A compound in the top 20 is worth more than any kill count.
  3. Never take a fight without an exit. If you cannot disengage, skip the engagement.
  4. Use vehicles for rotation, not for ramming. A car is a mobile safe zone on the map edge.
  5. In the final circle, position beats loadout. Arriving first to a good spot wins more matches than arriving with better gear.

Account and rewards

  1. Redeem codes every update day. They expire in hours and they are the only free UC source. Check the current code list before each session, and never log in to any site that is not the official redeem centre — see account security.
