PUBG Mobile uses two words loosely: redeem codes and promo codes. They are redeemed in the same place but they are not the same thing, and the difference explains why promo codes behave so erratically.
Redeem codes versus promo codes
| Redeem codes | Promo codes | |
|---|---|---|
| Released by | KRAFTON, Level Infinite, regional publishers | Brands, retailers, hardware partners, collaboration events |
| Typical reward | UC, BP, coupons, Silver Fragments | Cosmetics, bundles, vehicle skins, sometimes UC |
| Validity | Hours to weeks | Tied to the campaign — often days |
| Availability | Public | Often region- or retailer-locked |
Where promo codes come from
- Collaborations. Anime, film and music tie-ins release promo batches for the duration of the crossover.
- Hardware and beverage partners. Codes distributed on packaging or in partner apps, usually region-bound and single-use.
- Retail promotions. Store campaigns in specific countries, frequently requiring a receipt or app registration.
- Esports sponsors. Tournament broadcasts and partner giveaways.
Why a legit-looking promo code fails
- Region. Partner campaigns are almost always country-locked.
- Channel. Some codes only activate if redeemed through a specific app or link, not the public redeem centre.
- Redemption limit reached. Batches are capped, and promotional codes get shared aggressively.
- Campaign ended. Promo validity is tied to the campaign window, not to a fixed date you can look up.
Identifying fake promo codes
- The code appears only in comment sections and on no official channel.
- The page hosting it asks you to log in with your game credentials — never do this outside official endpoints.
- It promises an unrealistic reward, such as a full Mythic set or thousands of UC.
- It asks you to complete an offer wall or download an app first.

Best practice
Treat promo codes as a bonus, not a plan. Check them when a collaboration you care about goes live, redeem immediately, and move on. For the reliable core of the site — UC, coupons and outfit codes that are re-verified on every run — use the main codes hub.
